The hub will be open (Tuesdays or Saturdays 11am-2pm at present), to volunteer, or to join in.

The Pioneer team has been working with a small steering team of 6-10 people to set up the 'StanWell Hub'The STANway WELLbeing Hub's strapline is 'Thriving Together': socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and economically. We are people who live and work in Stanway, who want to listen to and connect with people in our community who have found themselves, or a loved one, in difficult times. Covid has left many people socially isolated, physically and mentally depleted, spiritually hungry and/or economically stretched. We have volunteers who have a background in the medical, faith, business, educational and voluntary sectors. None of us have all the answers, but we are in touch with people and groups with specialist expertise who we can signpost people to. We are preparing to launch a mobile pilot hub outside the Foodbank at the end of July, working alongside the Foodbank and Tollgate Partnership. Stanway u3a is an independent charity run entirely by volunteers, serving the people in Stanway and surrounding towns and villages. We are a lively and friendly group of people who wish to continue to learn and take up new interests and activities in spite of, or because of, having reached the "Third Age" – the period when we are no longer in full time employment.

We have over 70 interest groups and activities, plus twice monthly meetings and social events with guest speakers and entertainment, and would love you to join us.
