Parks & Open Spaces

Stanway Parish Council is responsible for the Villa Road Playing Field, the children's play areas on Silverwitch Green and in Lucy Lane South. It also maintains Swan Green (near the Copford Parish boundary) and the Youth Garden (behind the Library in Villa Road).

Whilst members of the public are now permitted to enjoy parks and other open spaces, we are obliged to keep play areas closed. This is because we all know that it is almost impossible for small children to 'social-distance' and the play equipment would also require constant disinfecting, something we do not have the capability of doing. Accordingly, please observe these restrictions until the Government allows us to relax them.

Finally, please note that dogs are to be kept on leads while on the Playing Field.
